If this happened to you, would you change your mind?

This happened to my family when I was a child. I’ll change names around a bit.

I was the youngest of 4 when we moved into an old farm house in the early 70s. We started upgrading the house a bit while we lived there. We added shag carpet in the living room, turned the upstairs into bedrooms for everyone. But then, we started noticing odd events.

First, my father would hear things at night. He always assumed it was one of us kids sneaking down the stairs. So nearly every night we would hear him bellow for us to get back in bed. Even though we all were in bed. There were several night in which he had his belt in hand, ready to punish whoever it was. But he could never catch anyone.

Back then, refrigerators had these handles that you had to pull down and out in order to open it. But my mother kept finding it open. She assumed it was one of us kids and scolded us often.

My mother also liked to pull out an old ouija board on occasion. But since moving into the house, it seemed we always got good answers. One day, they asked when my brother Jm would die. Actually they just asked when Jm would die, not specifying beyond that. They were given a date and then the thing slid right off the board. Everyone thought it was wierd, but my mother recorded the date and left it alone for a while.

Then we all started hearing unexplained noises and things misplaced. Things we know we set down in one place only to find it in another. By this time, we were joking around about our “ghost”. It became the perfect scapegoat for everything that happened in the house.

But then the dreams came. It was not every night, but it was once or twice per week for months. We all started having recurring dreams. Not all of us having the same dream, but the dreams we had all kept coming to us over and over. In my case, it was that of a man in a plaid shirt and beard showing me the way up to the attic. Whenever I followed him to the attic, he would hang himself in front of me. Being a child, this scared the heck out of me. I became frightened of the attic and the entrance to it (in my parents bedroom). I even became scared to be in their bedroom. Eventually, I learned to wake myself up from the dream and how to run away while in the dream.

My brothers and my father all had dreams that had something to do with a guy in a plaid shirt. At this point, we were sure we had a ghost haunting us. and my mother was trying to figure out how to get rid of it.

Then a most amazing thing happened. I remember sitting on the floor, playing with lincoln logs during a big thunderstorm. My mother was in the kitchen, listening to the radio (the radio was the only way to hear if a tornado was spotted). My brother Jm was between the kitchen table and the window sill; propped up on two legs of the chair. I remember looking up and watching my brother slip. I remember because it totally confused me, The chair did not just slip out from under him. It went flying over the table, as if it was pulled out from under him and flung up towards the ceiling – impossible to my mind.
Just as he hit the floor, a bolt of lightning came through the window and struck a wall plug in the kitchen. We were all thunderstruck and I was blinded for a while. It blew out nearly everything in the kitchen and the TV. It also left a pretty big hole in the wall where the plug used to be. If my brother had not “slipped” he would have been hit right in the back of the head by a bolt of lightning.

A few months later, my mother came into the living room and apologised to all of us. You see, she had just witnessed the refrigerator door open all by itself. She apologised to us for all the times she scolded us for leaving it open.

One evening, while we were all watching TV (some western), we all saw footsteps in the shag carpet go from the kitchen, across the living room between us and the TV, and then to the stairs. Then we heard the stairs creak a couple of times. Everyone just sat there in shock. Nobody said anything for a while; just kept looking at each other. One of my brothers inspected the impressions left in the carpet. What we saw was just not explainable by any normal means.

This all ended a few months later when my father tore out and replaced the stairs. Perhaps it was mere coicidence, but everything quit happening right after the stairs were replaced. We sold the house a couple of years after that and never told the new owners anything.

In fact, we quit telling anyone any of this because nobody believed us anyway.

Nearly a decade later, my brother Jm married and had a son he named Jm Jr. The child died of crib death on the very day the ouija board said jm would die. We neve touched that board again.

For the sake of argument, let’s not debate whether you believe me or not. Without proof absolute, there is no reason to, nor do I expect any reasonably skeptical person to believe this. But the question I
Yes indeed, it is true (as we believe it). I am actually the youngest of 5 brothers and the son of a man who still does not believe in ghosts – though he cannot explain any of it. He never did like talking about it and did not like us talking about it either. There were lots of little things, but nothing as dramatic as what I wrote about. Mostly things that happened to each one of us without any witnesses. I automatically discount those things and cite only that which more than one of us experienced.
A book? Never really considered that before. Never considered myself much of a writer.
The unfortunate death of Jm was followed by several years before my mother came out with her diary entry that predicted it. Even she had forgotten about it until she read it again. It was written in ink in her unique cursive, so alteration would have been obvious. It had also predicted my brother js marrying a woman named “Naomi”. But that never happened.

What is your opinion ICE arrests illegal alien gang members in Asheville, NC?

Over a four-day period, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office carried out targeted raids throughout the Asheville area, which resulted in the arrest of 26 violent gang members, several of whom are illegal aliens.

In addition to immigration violations, many of those arrested, were charged with crimes ranging from violent assaults to drug trafficking. ICE agents also seized marijuana and cocaine from multiple locations.

ICE apprehended illegal aliens from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The gangs involved were Surenos, Bloods, M Zone Rydas and Sugar Loaf Clique 31.

Henderson County Sheriff Davis told reporters: “The location where most of the suspects were arrested was a well-known haven for active gang members. Gang recruiting and criminal activity for the entire region was in full view to anyone who attended this Asheville club. This joint operation with ICE, Henderson and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office are precisely what this area needs to breakup and halt gang activity. We must continue to deny gangs any safe havens.”

The ICE website states: “Since inception in 2005 to date, ICE agents working in conjunction with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies nationwide have arrested 16,144 street gang members and associates. Of those arrested, 202 were gang leaders and 2,898 were MS-13 gang members or associates. 9,339 have been charged with immigration violations and processed for removal.”

In recent years, Asheville has become inundated with illegal aliens. Consequently, crime and gang activity has increased in the once quite town, nestled in the mountains of western North Carolina.

Last month, The Asheville Citizen Times reported that police had arrested illegal aliens Cruz Mario Carnacion, 37 and Jose Luis Trejo-Yanez for stealing railroad spikes from tracks owned by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. At the time of their arrest, the two had more than 500 stolen spikes in their possession. The removal of the spikes could have resulted in a serious train accident.

In August 2008, ICE agents arrested 57 illegal aliens working at Mills Manufacturing Corporation (MMC) in Asheville. All of those arrested were using erroneous Social Security numbers. MMC is a Defense contractor and manufactures parachutes for the U.S. military

In August 2006, illegal aliens Pablo Vasquez Osorio, 22, and Marcos Guerrero Fuentes, 23, were charged with first-degree **** and kidnapping of a 17-year-old Asheville girl at a Red Roof Inn.

Despite the aforementioned crimes directly attributed to illegal immigration, Asheville City Councilman Cecil Bothwell recently set off a firestorm of controversy, when he appeared on a local radio show and expressed his desire to officially make Asheville a ‘sanctuary city,’ for illegal aliens.

Bothwell said: “I’d like to make it clear that this essentially endorses what is already Asheville city policy. This isn’t actually anything particularly new. What I deem this to be is an educational effort, to let people in the community know they don’t need to be afraid of the police.”

Everyday (You Save My Life)

Jamie was so excited. She was about to meet her favorite comedian, actor, and author, Craig Ferguson. She was driving to the place where he’d be. She was wearing dark blue jeans and a tee-shirt that had a picture of Craig on it and beneath the picture it said “Remind you of anyone……”. She loved the shirt and wore it frequently.

A few minutes later she arrived at the theater. She got out of her car and walked inside. She had a backstage pass that she’d won on the radio. She showed her pass to the security guard and he walked her to Craig’s dressing room.

When she got there, she walked inside to see Craig talking with other fans. He looked kind of cute. He was wearing jeans, a black button-down shirt and yellow boots. His hair was spiky. Jamie walked over to him.

She looked up at him to see his blue eyes staring back at her. He smiled at her. She smiled back and blushed.

“Hi” Craig said.

“Hi” she said, shyly.

“How are you doing tonight?” he asked.

“Good” was all she could say.

“That’s good” he said. “How old are you?”

“I’m 39″ she said, quietly.

“What’s your name?” he asked.

“My name is Jamie” she said.

“That name’s almost as pretty as you” he said.

Jamie blushed.

“Thanks” she said, quietly.

Just then it was time for the fans to take their seats. Everyone said there goodbyes to Craig, before going to take their seats. Jamie turned to leave, but Craig stopped her.

“Would you like to go out with me tonight?” he asked.

“Like a date?” she asked.

“Yeah” he said.

Why would he want to go out on a date with me she thought to herself.

“Ummm” she said. “Sure. Sounds Like Fun”

“Great” he said. “I’ll meet you outside after the show”

“Okay” she said smiling. She turned and walked out the door and to her seat.

Craig was on fire that night. He did his usually stuff about Brad Pitt and James Bond and Oprah and drugs and concerts. Jamie was laughing the whole time. She couldn’t help it. He was so funny. Eventually, the show came to an end. Jamie exited the theater with everyone else. She stood by the back door and waited for Craig.

Craig walked out of the theater a few minutes later. He greeted some other fans before walking over to her and hugging her.

Hey” he said, his accent coming through a little. “You ready to go”

Jamie smiled and nodded her head ‘yes’. Craig opened the limo door for Jamie. She got in, followed by Craig. The limo driver started driving.

“Where are we going?” Jamie asked, curiously.

“It’s a surprise” he said. “You’ll have to wait and see”

“Okay” she said.

“It may take awhile to get there” he said.

“Okay” she said. “We can just chat”

“About what?” Craig asked.

“Umm” she said. “What do you like to do besides comedy?”

Craig was surprised that she actually wanted to get to know him. Usually women just used him for *** and money. He smiled at her. She blushed and smiled back.

“Well” he said. “I like to travel back to Scotland when I can. I also like to visit my family or just watch a movie at home and relax”

“Oh” she said. “I have never been to Scotland. I’ve seen pictures, though. It looks beautiful. I’d love to go there one day”

“So” he said. “What about you? What do you like to do when you’re not going to one of my shows?”

“Well” she said thinking. “I love to sing and dance and just have fun and hang out with friends”

“Could you sing something for me?” he asked.

Jamie blushed and got really nervous. She shook her head ‘no’.

“Why not?” he asked.

“Because” she said. “I said I like to sing. I didn’t say I could sing. And I’m too nervous”

“You have a nice voice” he said. “And you don’t have to be nervous around me”

I know” she said. “I just am nervous around you”

“Why?” Craig asked.

“Because” she said. “Your my favorite comedian and author and actor”

“Oh” he said. “So you’ve read my book?”

“Yes” she said, shyly. “I actually have your book”

“So you’ve probably heard that I have an autobiography coming out soon” he said.

“Yeah” she said. “I pre-ordered it, but I really can’t wait until the sequel to “Between the Bridge and the River” comes out. I love that book

Is there a website you can download random noises/sounds from?

In my drama class we’re doing old time radio shows, so the audience won’t be able to see us and we have to incorporate sounds so they kind of know what’s going on.

15 sounds have to made technologically and i need to know if there’s a website where you can download random noises,

for example some of the noises i need are cars starting up, a police siren, someone falling down the stairs.

Anyone know any websites?
